The Asian American Law Journal (AALJ) at UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) provides a comprehensive forum for legal scholars, practitioners and students to discuss legal issues concerning Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. With the joint publication of our inaugural issue with the California Law Review in October 1993 and the publication of our first independent issue in May 1994, AALJ became one of only two law journals in the United States focusing on Asian American communities in its publication agenda.

AALJ is published annually, and each volume typically contains articles, book reviews, essays and other contributions from scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students.
